Alina H. Kolodziej
Alina H. Kolodziej (Sadecki), 87, of Windsor Locks, died on January 21, 2024, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Poland October 12, 1936, to Franciszek and Henryka (Dworakowska) Sadecki and moved to the United States. She and her husband made their home in Windsor Locks where she resided for over 65 years. Alina also spent her winter months in her Florida home in Ft. Myers, FL. She enjoyed the time she spent with cousin Bobbi Tellone and her Florida friends going on excursions, going out to eat or just entertaining at home.
Alina was a registered nurse which she attained while in Poland, she retired from the former Kettlebrook nursing home in East Windsor after 30 plus years of service. She was a parishioner of the former St. Joseph Church in Suffield. She was proud of her flower and vegetable gardens in her yard, enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Center, visiting local casinos, and going on cruises.
Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Alina is survived by her children; Andrew Kolodziej of Windsor Locks, Edward Kolodziej, and his wife Susan of Enfield; her sister, Barbara Raybould of Texas; her grandchildren, Erik and Autumn Jenna Kolodziej; her nephew Kevin Raybould and niece Karen Raybould and their families and many loving family members in Poland. Alina was predeceased by her husband Frank Kolodziej, her son Richard Kolodziej, and her granddaughter Jordan Alina Kolodziej.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield. A Funeral Procession will gather at the Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. Saturday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield. Burial will follow at St. Adalberts Cemetery, Enfield. For online condolences please visit leetestevens.com

So sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom Andrew and Eddie- just heard today. I'm happy your Mom was able to visit my Mom next door when My Mom was not doing so well. Your Mom had a kind soul. Let's hope the song is wrong and there is some pevo in heaven- for both our parents sake. God bless! Thanks for being awesome neighbors through the years!
