Ann Chase Obituary

Ann P. Chase
Ann P. Chase, 88, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of Bradford S. Chase, with whom she shared 68 years of devotion, partnership, and enduring love.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Ann was the daughter of the late Ernest and Harriet (Bruce) Persse. She was raised in Southbridge, MA, attended the Universities of Massachusetts and Connecticut, lived in East Lansing, Michigan and Sharon, PA before settling in Enfield in 1962, where she and Brad built a warm and loving home for their family.
A gifted educator, Ann dedicated her career to nurturing young minds, teaching at Eli Whitney and other schools in Enfield and South Street Elementary School in Windsor Locks. She and her family were former longtime members of the Enfield Congregational Church, where she was active in the bell choir and Nearly New Shop, and found strength in faith and community for over fifty years.
Ann possessed a creative spirit, finding joy in reading, playing piano, line dancing and quilting, the latter as a church activity, contributing hundreds of quilts to Project Linus, a national organization that provides handmade blankets locally to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
However, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, embracing her role as a loving matriarch with boundless warmth and wisdom.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Brad, and their four children: Scott Chase and his wife, Lisa, of Rochester, NY, Gary Chase and his wife, Judy, of Brooklyn, NY, Kristi McKeever and her husband, James, of Brookfield, CT, and Bryan Chase and his wife, Konni, of Sunnyvale, CA. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Robert Persse, and his wife, Linda, of Houston, TX.
Ann's legacy lives on through her seven cherished grandchildren-Erica McCrystal, Patrick Chase, Michael McKeever, Kaitlyn Martello, Timothy Chase, Jack McKeever, and Benjamin Chase-as well as her six precious great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Fred Persse.
A service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at the Broad Brook Congregational Church in May of this coming Spring. The date and time will be announced at a later date. To share online condolences, please visit www.Leetestevens.com

Ann was a very lovely and sweet woman. She was extremely kind and cared about others. We enjoyed our summer ice cream get together on Tuesday at Collins Creamery and going out for breakfast. We know how much she loved Brad and her family.
We will all miss you Ann.
Rest in Peace.
