Cecile Daley Obituary

Cecile F. Daley, 89, of East Hartford, the wife of 48 years to the late William K. Daley, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at her home.

Born in South Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Cecelia (Lynch) Malone. She had worked at Pratt & Whitney for 10 years, and for the State of Connecticut for 35, the last 25 of which were with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Cecile was a life member of the St. Francis Hospital Women's Auxiliary and was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford.

She is survived by her son, William K. Daley II, and his wife, Joan, of Manchester; her daughter, Kerry Anne Daley, and her partner, Andrew Murray, of London, England; her grandchildren, Thomas A. Daley and William K. Daley III of Manchester; and her great-grandsons, Aaron T. Daley of Manchester, and Logan P. Daley of South Windsor. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Alfred T. Malone, Thomas Malone, and Eleanor Malone.

Cecile's family would like to offer a special thanks for their special care to Masonicare Hospice, especially Nellie Rodriguez and Sindie Thomas, and to Caring Solutions, especially, Jackie, Amalli, Andrea, Dolores, and Joyce.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 E. Millbrook Drive, East Hartford, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford.

Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
