Ernie has been in my thoughts for the past few weeks, for whatever reason I'm not sure. Ernie was my supervisor at Health and Human Services for many years, and I found him to be respectful, helpful, caring, intelligent, and courageous, and I could go on. He was also understanding. I did not know him out of the workplace, but I admired his tenacity through his approach to life. He set the bar high for the rest of us by just being who he was. I feel blessed to have worked with him. Sheila, you and your family have my sincere sympathy. You were blessed to have each other. I recently lost a family member, and someone shared this and I would like to share it with you. "Grief starts to become indulgent, and it doesn't serve anyone, and it's painful. But if you transform it into remembrance, then you're magnifying the person you lost and also giving something of that person to other people, so they can experience something of that person.

I 'am deeply saddened by the loss of Uncle Ernie's passing. My heart breaks for you. When we loss a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. Saying goodbye to someone we love is heartbreaking. May you, Michael, Matthew and family find comfort in all your special memories shared with Uncle Ernie.

Sheila,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I will never forget the kindness you extended to Michael and I when we were in need of a wheelchair van to get Michael home for the first time. You are in my thoughts always.

Hi Sheila, we are so sorry for your loss I have fond memories of Ernie when you both lived here in NE and worked at NGM. Often had great discussion with Ernie out back at the office when he was picking you up out back in his van. You are in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time and we will be thinking of you and your family. Tom & Ann Baird :-)
