Lawrence Clancy Obituary
Born in Hartford, the son of the late Lawrence and Ann (McSweegan) Clancy, he grew up and lived in East Hartford before moving to South Windsor 45 years ago. He was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1962. Prior to his retirement in 1986, Larry was a firefighter with the East Hartford Fire Department for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Larry enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his beloved children, Kimberly DiNallo, and her husband, Les, of Enfield, and Lawrence "Denny" Clancy III of South Windsor; three grandchildren, Kirsten, Nicholas, and Melissa; two sisters, Barbara Thurz, and her husband, John, of Glastonbury, and Dorothy Fish of East Hartford; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Cemetery, 191 Hopewell Road, South Glastonbury.
Memorial donations in Larry's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

I hadnt seen mr clancy in sometime. I am very sorry for the families loss, he was a great man. My condolences go out to the family.
