Sharon Brow Obituary
Sharon M. (Burr) Brow, 70, of Vernon, beloved wife of Gary Brow, died peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born in Manchester, CT, on December 14, 1953, the daughter of Russell Burr and the late Pauline (Calhoun) Burr. Sharon grew up in Vernon and was a graduate of Rockville High School in 1972. While in high school Sharon excelled in cheerleading, and she was the Miss VFW in Rockville. She married the love of her life, Gary Brow on August 18, 1983, and they settled in Vernon where they raised a family. She worked as an executive secretary at ESPN, a career she enjoyed. Sharon enjoyed camping with her family, especially at Lake George, NY. A kind, caring, loving, and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many she will be dearly missed.
Along with her husband Gary, and father, Russell, she leaves her daughters, Stephanie Brow (Heather Wilcox) of Vernon, and Corinne Keane (Matthew) of Salt Lake City, UT, her grandchildren whom she adored and cherished, Bella, Alyssa, and Morgan, and her siblings, Michael Burr of Vernon, Kathy Menezes (Demetrious) of Mendon, MA, and Barbara Hlavaty of Vernon.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 5-7 p.m., at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rt. 83), Vernon.
