When I heard of the passing of a beautiful lady named Verna Findlay, so many memories came flowing back. I remember the first time I met Verna I was 10 years old. My mom had invited her to come to dinner as she was about to become my sister in law. Time passes and 5 years later a baby girl was born and her name was Linda. Another 5 years and Linda became my flower girl. Verna was so proud of Linda. Years pass and there were so many wonderful parties, showers and Christmas’s at Uncle Franks in the Cheney Mansion. Verna and Linda were a vital part of our lives. Verna and I became very, very close. I adored her from day one. She was one of the nicest human beings anyone could ever ask for.
Linda my heart is breaking for your loss. Until we all meet again.
Love Aunt Judie.

My memories of Verna started when I was in kindergarten, she lived with us and I always waited for her to come home from work. She always brought me a candy bar(mounds). She worked and raised her daughter Linda alone and was finally able to buy her first home. She loved life and above all loved her daughter. She will be missed but to me Aunt Verna will always be with me . Condolences to Linda who cared for her mother and was with her daily,
