To the entire LaForge family. I knew Steve back in the day of Pioneer Container and worked with him for some 30 years until IP closed the Cedarburg facility. Steve was always a man that told you what was on his mind about business. He took care of his customers and they loved him. I lost track of Steve a few years back after the plant closed but I will always remember him telling the stories of his children and the grandchildren. He was so proud of his children and was always happy to talk about them. When he came into the office, we begged him to share photo's of the grandkids. My prayers are with all of you as you are going through this difficult loss. God's blessings to you all.

Peg, if I have the connection correct, I believe we stayed at your little cabin up north (Jaci was there at the time, and we met some of the little ones as well). In any case, if this is correct, your husband was so kind as were Jaci and Tim, and the rest of your family that came and went that week. It was a wonderful vacation, one of the last we had before Bruce had a debilitating stroke in 2004. May God sustain you and your family in this sad time.

Peggy and Family
We send our great sympathy to you and your family upon hearing of Steve's untimely passing.
It is with great sorrow that I have to come to the reality that I will not be seeing my great grade school and high school friend Steve. We were so much looking forward to seeing both of you at our next years 50th class reunion.

So sad to hear the news of Steves death. He was a lifelong friend of ours, but particularly of my brother Frank. Steve kept in close contact with Frank reminiscing and encouraging him in Franks last days. During that period Steve and I had several convos. We agreed to meet for lunch and stories one day "soon" after his brother Jims passing. He was a good athlete and funny man. End of an era

I am saddened at the loss of my lifelong friend Steve. From our days at St. Thomas grade school, to the hallowed halls of Freeport Aquin, to the infrequent, but cherished visits in our adulthood, I will miss his physical presence in my life. It has been a friendship of over 60 yrs. and one I will always remember. As we moved into high school I also have cherished my friendship with Peg, and your entire family. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you on this very sad time. I pray that you have MANY happy, fond, memories to sustain you thru your difficult journey. RIP my good friend.
