Charles W. Bogenreif, 94, of Elmwood died Sunday November 6, 2022 at Aviva Woodlands in Lincoln. Charlie was born in rural Elmwood, NE on January 14, 1928 to Walter W. and Nellie (Gambell) Bogenreif. He was a farmer, maintenance foreman at Northern Natural Gas Palmyra, woodworker, and handyman. He was a member of Elmwood Christian Church.
Charlie is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Robert) Clements of Elmwood NE, a son, Chuck (Sue) Bogenreif of Lincoln NE. Nine grandchildren Jim, Andy, Tom, Mary, Sarah, Debbie, Wes, Kristin, and Jenna. Eighteen great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, daughter Mary Ann Pierson, an infant daughter Betty Jean.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Elmwood Christian Church in Elmwood. Visitation: 1-8 p.m., with family present 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11, at the church. Hammons Family Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements Condolences and tributes www.hammonsfs.com

Chuck, Jody and I send our deepest condolences to you, Sue and family. It is apparent that your father taught you many things and being a wonderful friend is only one of them. You and your family will remain in our prayers and, in time, everything you learned from your father will be passed on to all of your children.
