Our hearts and prayers go out to you. Your dad was one of the most remarkable men I ever known. He was so full of spirit and ambition. I always enjoyed getting to see him. He is a man I will never forget. Your memories will carry you for the rest of your life and knowing he is looking down upon you with a smile.

Dear Proffitt Family:

Your Dad played a major role in the Fagan family. From my first ear infection, my first contact lenses, to his last days of practice, he was there to fill my needs. Also, it was your Dad who recognized my Dad's illness that took him from us in 21 days.

The Proffitts, as family friends, will always hold a "special" place in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Pat

Dr Robert Proffitt,
I expressed my sympathy to you in the office on Monday but just wanted to add it here. As you already know, I referred children to your dad when I was a speech pathologist in GI in the late 60's. Our prayers are with your family.

I extend condolences to the family of Dr. Proffitt. I recall my first visit to him, many years ago. I woke up one morning, my eye was stuck shut and I thought I was going blind. My eylid was swollen and inflamed. Frantically, we called his ofc. and was told to come right in. Dr. Proffitt looked at it and said I had "conjunctivitis". I began crying because it sounded so terminal and terrible. He patted my shoulder, smiled and said that is just another name for "pink eye" and it would be o.k. with antibiotic. I have never forgotten his comforting words as he continued as our family Ophthalmologist for many years. His Legacy will continue.
