Kingston Wayne Kovac

August 8, 1933 - December 12, 2025

Kingston Wayne Kovac, age 92, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at his home in Waukesha. He was born in Denmark, WI, August 8, 1933, son of the late Samuel and Elaine (Nee: Hendrickson) Kovac. He graduated from Wm Horlick High School "Class of 1952" and went on to earn a degree from Beloit College. Kingston proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1959 stationed in Fort Devens Massachusetts On July 14th, 1956, at Evangelical United Methodist Church, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Judith A. Meyer. Kingston was employed by IBM in Milwaukee for 35 years, retiring in 1992 as Sales Manager and then spent five more years in Sales at Compuware. He and Judy retired to Bonita Springs, FL moving back to Wisconsin to be near family in 2022. Kingston was a true athlete and was very sports minded. He played football in high school, at Beloit College and then for a short time with the Racine Raiders until injuries forced him to stop playing. He was an avid golfer and while in Racine he was a member of Meadowbrook Country Club. As a member of Shadow Wood Country Club in Florida, he spent his retirement golfing (until almost 90) and was pleased to receive TWO hole-in-one honors. He is a former member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and the Racine Kiwanis Club. Kingston will be remembered for his athleticism and for setting Track records in both college and high school. Above all Kingston treasured the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Judy; son, Bill W. (Dodie) Kovac; daughter, Brenda Kovac; seven grandchildren, Will (Janea) Kovac, Tom (Abbey) Kovac, Jim (Hannah) Kovac, Ken Kovac (Anna Touby), Jennifer (Weston) Sternecker, Jessica Meyer (Conor), Chris (Marta) Davidoff; ten great grandchildren, Isadora Kovac, Robby and Audrey Kovac; Jackson and Isabella Kovac, Hazel and Harrison Sternecker and Flynn, Holden, and Nolan Meyer; brother, Kent (Judae) Kovac, AZ; sister-in-law, Shirley Meyer; lifelong friend Rod Hermes and other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Donovan Meyer.

A memorial service will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main Street, Tuesday, December 23rd at Noon with Mark Granger officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. Private inurnment with full military honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Dover, WI. Guests are invited to a brief gathering with Kingston's family at the funeral home after the memorial service is complete.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation have been suggested.
