PRAIRIE DU CHIEN - Paul Neil bebow An excellent coach is hard to find, difficult to part with and impossible to forget ~author unknown. Coach Paul Neil Bebow walked toward his final goal with his family cheering him on from his bedside on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018. Coach Bebow was born on November 16th, 1935 to Paul Nicholas and Marcella (Kleinschmidt) Bebow in Racine, Wisconsin. After graduation from Racine St. Catherine’s High School in 1954, Coach attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. In January 1957, Coach joined the Army Special Services and was stationed in France. His passion and commitment for working with students was an inspiration to many in the Prairie du Chien community. He was recognized by many, but one of his most special moments was being inducted into the Wisconsin High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in March, 1994 by Barry Alvarez. Coach Bebow was also recognized by the Prairie du Chien community by being inducted into the Prairie du Chien High School Hall of Fame in 2002. Coach Bebow is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; his daughter Brenda (Jeff) Lenzendorf of Eastman, Wisconsin; his son, Jeff from Victoria, Minnesota; and his son, Jay (Mary) from Bettendorf, Iowa. He leaves behind his most favorite conversation pieces, his grandchildren Kari Kronberg, Nick (Samantha), and Katie Lenzendorf, Madison and Sydney Bebow, Claire and Sam Bebow, as well as his great-grandchildren Kaylie, Maddie and Marlee Kronberg, and their dad, Anders Kronberg. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Junne) of Racine, Wisconsin and was preceded in death by his brother, Francis of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. A private family memorial will be held at the Garrity Funeral Home on Saturday, March 3rd, with a Celebration of Life and sharing of memories with friends and family at Huckleberry’s Restaurant in Prairie du Chien from 2-5 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in Coach Bebow’s name.www.garrityfuneralhome.com

My condolences to the Bebow family. Losing someone in death is so painful. But we look forward to a time when we can see the loved ones we have lost again. Here is a comforting thought found at 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14.
