Ashley Ver Haagh Obituary

Ver Haagh, Ashley Joan Of Waukesha, WI, age 27, went to heaven so unexpectedly on June 16, 2012. She was born in Green Bay, WI on March 17, 1985, daughter of Patrick J. Ver Haagh and Holly P. Marold. Ashley was the first grandchild for Tony and Joan Marold, and from the moment of her St. Patrick's Day birth she touched all of those whom she met. Ashley graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in November 2007 with a degree in Management Information Systems. She married the love of her life, Ryan Dickman on November 11, 2011 at the Heritage Hill Chapel in Green Bay. She had been employed by Compucom/GE Health-care in Milwaukee as an Opsware Administrator, until the time of her death. She will be dearly missed by everyone in her life. Ashley was an excellent cook, a staunch Republican who loved politics. She was a die-hard fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. She loved walking down to Quinn's at Marco Island in Florida for cool drinks on the beach. She was also a life-long fanatic of putting together erector sets, fitting the motto "He (She) who dies with the most erector sets, WINS." None of our computers would have worked without her. She would always go out of her way to help others, taking charge and helping anyone with anything they needed. We all came to depend on her so much, as she was the glue that held our family together. She loved her beautiful dog, Lokka and precious cats Kenzie and Stormy. Our angel Ashley will be so missed by her loving husband Ryan; her parents; one brother, Eli Ver Haagh; as well as family members on her mother's side: Jody (Scott) Fox of De Pere, Mary (Richard) Robinson of Marco Island, Florida, Tony (Susan) Marold of Green Bay, cousins Sara Robinson, Lindsay Marold, Tony Marold Jr., and Lauren Marold. On her father's side: Grandmother Lucille Ver Haagh of De Pere, Joseph (Gail) Ver Haagh, Donna (John) Roberts, Mike (Lisa) Ver Haagh, Steve (Renee) Ver Haagh, Kathy (Paul) Hermsen, and Mark (Jeanne) Ver Haagh. She is also survived by her in-laws, Lowell and Jeanne Dickman of Freeport, Illinois, and brothers-in-law Kevin (Sarah) Dickman and Adam Dickman, special cousins Troy, Tami and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tony and Joan Marold and Joseph Ver Haagh. A private service was held in June. A memorial fund in Ashley's name will be established. We love you so Ashley, until we can see you again in heaven. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, assisted the family. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.cotterfuneralhome.com

Ashley was a trusted co-worker, a superb system administrator, and a loving friend. She was always there to help others. I cherish the fun times we had, and feel that the world is a lesser place without her. I truly miss her, and will always think of her. Ashley, I hope we meet again someday.

Holly and Patrick,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Ashley spent many hours at our house during grade school playing with our son Kevin. She was such a vibrant child. May God be with you during this difficult time.
