Dear Evelyn and Family,

Even though we have never met I wanted you to know I have thought of Barry often since we lost touch a few years after high school and am so sorry to hear of his passing. I was one of several close friends he had at Milwaukee Lutheran. It is unfortunate that time goes by so quickly we did not get to reconnect with each other as I have with Steve Applequist, another close friend from MLHS. We all would have shared alot of memories and laughs!
Barry was an extremely funny, interesting, amusing, caring, intelligent guy whom I adored and respected. Those high school years would NEVER have been the same without him. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss and pray that time is healing your sorrow.

I would like to know a little about Barry's life and family and would appreciate if a family member would contact me. I have a wonderful 8x10 picture of Barry in his football uniform from MLHS in'72 I feel your family would enjoy to have.

Dear Evelyn & Family,

I am an old friend of Barry Bratley's who attended high school with him at Milwaukee Lutheran in 1972-73. I recently contacted an old friend from Mil. Luth. and we were talking about Barry. I now live in San Diego and my friend lives in Phoenix. We are both 56 and have never forgotten Barry. We regret your loss and both know what it is like to lose a parent and loved one. We both remembered what a amazing football player Barry was.

Please feel free to contact me.

Jarvon:
I'm sorry to hear of the lost to you and your family. Mr. Bratley was definately a good man. One who was always ready to hold a conversation and always have a kind word to say. Mr. Bratley was a warm person. Always made me feel like I was suppose to be around and that the most I will never forget. I will never forget the smile that he always showed. May GOD continue to bless you and your family during this very hard time in your lives. Just remember GOD always told us he will never put more on us than we can handle. My family and I are continuing to pray that GOD continues to strengthen you.

Ms. Evelyn,
It was truly a pleasure to have crossed paths in life with Barry. I remember him sitting at the table in the kitchen with a smile on his face. He taught us all a lesson about the positive impact he had on others' lives. Remember that "Even though suffering baffles our minds, we can trust God to be near and to work out his purposes."
