My girlfriend and I were shocked to see Carlie's name on the bill the Medical College sent to Medicare. She was the NP making rounds on the 8th floor Christmas day that came to our room. We didn't recognize her as all doctors and nurses wear gown and mask in room. She was SO nice, what a tragic loss to the family and so many others that she took great care of. Hoping she saves a place for us in heaven!

My daughter Katie worked directly with Carlie at Frodtert in the Oncology Department. She told me that Carlie was the most loving and caring person. Katie stated that she got a kick out of Carlie because Carlie would say, "Ok....you got it ??? Ok...you're ok ??? Always extremely "bubbly" and supportive of all her co-workers. Katie struggled with Carlies passing, however she knows Carlie will be the Angel watching over the PCA's, and the entire staff at Froedert. God Bless and Keep Carlie's family in our prayers forever

I have never met Carlie, but as a fellow NP in the health system, I feel especially sad that one of "our own" was taken from this world so prematurely. she no doubetly was kind, devoted, intelligent and loved by so many. Please accept my deepest sympathies to Carlie's family and friends. Thank you for sharing her with us and her patients. We all know the many hours she worked and sacrificed time away to be the best NP she could be.

9 days. 9 frickin' days and I still can't wrap my head around it. How can this be real? I struggle to accept this new reality but I know that with time, it will get easier.
Carlie was one of the best human beings I ever met, and truly one of the most capable and competent nurse practitioners at Froedtert Hospital. Carlie was an amazing, benevolent, wonderful person who continued to put the needs of others before her own. I will forever carry her in my heart and apply the skills she taught me to my patient-care. Because I knew you, Carlie, I am a better person.

Dear Carlie,
I don't know you or your family personally. I just read your story. You were taken far too soon, and had so much more to give.
Why is it that the world is cruel and steals away precious lives for no reason at all?
A beautiful lady, a beautiful life gone too soon.
Many prayers for your family and loved ones, and may you rest in peace.
Thinking of you all today.

Carlie and I started working at Froedtert at the same time. We went through RN orientation and Nurse Residency together. She was so excited to be working in BMT and so dedicated to becoming the best nurse. She was smart and compassionate. This is a terrible loss for everyone, and especially those future patients who won't have her by their side. I am so sorry.

Carlie's deep compassion and inner strength was evident as she daily faced the challenges of caring for BMT patients. In an environment requiring emotional resiliency and professional excellence, Carlie was an exceptional presence. Patients and colleagues alike were blessed. (Sandy, former oncology social worker)

I met Carlie through a mutual friend after they returned from performing in Italy. She was instantly kind and caring. She was the life of the party when we would hang out. I lost touch with her for a couple of years but then, I'd bump into her in the hallways at Froedert. She always greeted me with a hug and that smile that lit up any room. She was one of the good ones. I'm sorry for your loss. I know she's filling Heaven with her angelic voice and her caring soul.
