Cheryl Matthews Obituary
Milwaukee - Cheryl Y. Matthews, 59, of Milwaukee, WI passed away in her sleep at St. Luke's Hospital on June 19th, 2020. Beloved fiancé of Cheryl (Kent). Loving mother of Brandon, and Denzell (Bo), Daughter in law Kanisha. Daughter of William Olivier and Mildred Henry. Further survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Family services being held 1pm thru 3pm July 3rd 2020.(Visitation/Walkthrough/Wake only), Pitts The New Pitts Mortuary, 2031 West Capitol Drive Milwaukee, WI 53206, 414-447-0900
Laid to rest at 3:30pm, Graceland Cemetery, 6401 North 43rd Street Milwaukee, WI 53209, 414-435-3121.

Cheryl was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was kind to every person that she encountered because she genuinely loved all people. I will forever cherish all the moments, laughter, and conversations that we shared together. I love you cousin and I will never forget you.

I can't imagine the world without Cheryl. She was a role model of pure heart, joy and strength. Her smile, love of family and life was contagious. I know that heaven has a beautiful angel and that she is bringing everyone together to watch over us. That's the kind of person she is. Cheryl was a student of mine in 2 of her many Human Service classes. Her last email to me in late May, assured me she was determined (despite the Pandemic) to finish my class and get her long awaited degree in December. She completed the class in great style. I want to assure her family and friends the Human Services Faculty is committed to Cheryl receiving the degree posthumously with her class in December.
I will remember her wonderful smile and concern for others. My thoughts and wishes for comfort to all with your fondest memories of Cheryl.

I met Cheryl as Kent is employed with my husband. Cheryl was a most vibrant, classy, spirited, fun loving woman whose presence I always enjoyed!! She was beautiful inside & out to me. We shared our last Christmas party together and spoke of going to Vegas together.....how I wish that would have happened......prayers to the family for your tremendous loss. XO Tosca Russo
