Donna Mae Stamas

Stamas, Donna Mae Of Brookfield, WI died unexpectedly in her home on February 25th, 2018. She was 77 years old. Donna was born in Wausau, WI on April 13, 1940 the daughter of Robert and Christina Haas. She graduated Wausau Newman High School in 1958. Donna relocated to Milwaukee, WI where she met and married Nick Stamas in March 1966. Donna opened her own business, "Stamas Boutique" in Hales Corner's, WI in 1968 that she successfully operated for over 45 years. During the years of running her business, Donna received many awards and accolades from Merle Norman Cosmetics. She also was an exceptionally talented make-up artist throughout her career. She provided her services to many esteemed clients in the greater Milwaukee area. Donna is survived by fourteen nieces and nephews, Gilbert Haas of Long Valley, NJ, Glen Haas of Weston, WI, Gregory Haas of River Falls, WI, Galen Haas of Appleton, WI, Diann Leszcynski of Whitefish Bay, WI, Renee Hercules of Cedar Grove, WI, Gerald Haas of Port Washington, WI, Stephen Haas of Marathon, WI, Marie Dexter of South Korea, Alison Tonkin of Wausau, WI, Tracey Breaux of Henderson, NV, Helen Solomon of Wildwood, MO, Vincent Dobeck of Ringle, WI, and Matthew Dobeck of Venice, FL. Donna is preceded in death by her husband Nick Stamas on January 16, 1991, 1 sister, Marcella Dobeck (Haas) and 4 brothers, Robert Haas Jr, Orville Haas, Richard Haas and Bernard Haas. Donna was best known for her elegant sense of style, not only in fashion, but also in her approach to life. She was an avid swimmer for many years and always promoted good health and well-being. Donna will be loved and missed by all who were close to her. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, April 28th, 2018 at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53222. A donation to Wausau Newman High School is requested in lieu of flowers
