May God's precious Grace comfort this Family. I served with then-Captain and Major Matt Schram in Vicenza, Italy; our Family continues to honor his brave service and mourns his falling in battle. Matt always spoke of his great Family with so much pride and love. In our prayers forevermore - COL (Ret) Jim Huggins, USA & Family.

Several of the ladies at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in West Allis were remembering Dr. Schram and his 1st wife, Sarah, this morning when we heard of the Doc's passing. He was missed by the parish when he retired and moved up to Door County. Sarah was an active member of our ladies group and we missed her dearly when she died. Our sympathy to the whole family.

Doc Schram was one of the humblest and most generous people I've ever met. He was very good to those of us on staff at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in West Allis. He and Sarah were very active in the parish and proud of their children, whom I taught in the parish grade school. I'm sorry that I never had a chance to meet Audrey. He told me about her when we reconnected at the time of Matt's death. I will remember him at Mass and pray for you, Audrey, and the entire family.
Fondly,
Fr. Paul H. Colloton, OSFS
