Edward Jaeger

1921 - 2015

Jaeger, Edward Age 93. Found peace on Thursday, March 5, 2015, in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1921, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Anna and Andrew Jaeger. Edward was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII and a retired employee of the City of Milwaukee Water Dept. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and St. Leonard Catholic Church. Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen I. Jaeger, his daughter, Susan M. Schmidt, his sister, Ann Walsh, and son-in-law, William Hayford, Jr. He was the cherished father of Nancy (the late William) Hayford and father-in-law of Paul Schmidt. Dear grandfather of Emily (Jeff) Long, Sarah (Owen) Smith, Matthew (Chrissy) Hayford, Sean Schmidt and Andrew Schmidt. Great-grandfather of Samuel Long, Brady Smith and Ian Smith as well as Alex and Connor McCuiston. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the kind staff at Tudor Oaks Health Center and the caring staff of Aurora West Allis ICU who cared for him. Visitation at St. Leonard Catholic Church, W173 S7743 Westwood Dr., Muskego, on Tuesday, March 10 from 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 2 PM. Entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Tudor Oaks or St. Leonard's appreciated.
