Erwin E. "Erv" Behr

Behr, Erwin E. "Erv" Age 80. Called Home on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Beloved husband to Joan (nee Kneisel), for 56 years. Dear Papa of Diane (Mike) Brower and Darlene Siebert. Loving Grandfather of Christian and Maxwell Siebert and Fred and Paul Brower. Dear Brother of Irene (the late Philipp) Finzel. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Erv was a Meter Reader for WE Energies for 39 years and retired in 1994 to help raise his four grandsons. Each of his grandsons loved him dearly for it. Erv was an Ehren Mitglied (Honor Member) of S.V.E.V. D'Oberlandler Volkstrachten Verein. Erv started schuhplattling when he was nine years old and never stopped dancing in his heart. He taught many of the members, including his grandsons to dance and love the Bavarian traditions. One of his greatest memories was to compete with the Oberlandlers in many Gaufests. He accomplished his goal and competed with his wife and both daughters in separate Gaufests. Erv was a veteran of the Korean War but was lucky enough to stay in the states as an MP. Special thanks to Dr. Tibor and all the nurses and techs at Columbia St. Mary's Cancer Center. Visitation Thursday, April 4, from 5 to 7 PM followed by a Memorial Service at MOUNT CARMEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8424 W. Center Street, Milwaukee. Private interment Pinelawn Memorial Park, Wauwatosa. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mount Carmel Lutheran Church's Endowment Fund.
