Evan Ben-Hur Obituary
Milwaukee - Passed away on April 4, 2021 at the age of 56. Beloved son of the late Judith Ben-Hur (nee Horwitz) and Shia (Candace) Ben-Hur. Loving father of Ryan Ben-Hur. Cherished brother of Gia (Spencer) Ben-Hur and Daniel Ben-Hur. Dear uncle of Jonah and Jenna Claire. Further survived by his loving relatives and many dear friends. Evan had a heart of gold. He had an amazing sense of humor, a love for guitar, cooking, animals, nature, his family and his friends. His kindness, care and concern for people will be deeply missed.
Private burial services held at Mound Zion Cemetery, April 9, 2021. Memorial contributions to Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin appreciated.

Dearest Ben Hur family: I am so profoundly sad. Evan was a fine man. I will always recall the joy he brought to his mother's eyes and the laughter he shared with Danny. Gia, my father told me about Evan and I´m so deeply sorry for your loss. I have very fond childhood memories of hanging out with you and at times your brother. I especially remember one such occasion when he and his "band" played for my first boy/girl party at your house in middle school. I still think of him today when I hear "Two Tickets To Paradise". I hope you find peace in all the wonderful memories you shared with him and may his memory be a blessing to all who loved him. Liz

Just happened to see this, I am so sorry. I knew Evan when I worked for his dad at the animal hospital in the late 70s and he visited frequently. He was so friendly and at ease with everyone, those were good times.

Gia, I just happened to see this while looking for Services for a friend of mine. "Evan Ben-Hur" is NOT a common name which caused me to stop scrolling. When I saw his age and your name, then I knew. I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family have my deepest sympathies.
I drove past your [old] house this past Wednesday and thought about you guys and everyone else that went to Nicolet that lived along the route to my Parents house. We lost a Brother unexpectedly June of 2019 and I'd like to say it gets easier, but I miss him so much! Praying for your Family.

shia, gia and family - i send my deepest sympathy to you and your family. judy and i were friends for many years. she always talked about Evan, even in the midst of board games, so many of which we had a my house. i did meet Evan on one occasion at his/judy's house. what a fine young man he was. may each of you find comfort in what i know were some pretty special times.
