Hans Lorenzen Obituary

Lorenzen, Hans J. Passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Irmgard, and his children, Loretta Lorenzen (Daryl Laatsch) and Elmer (Kay) Lorenzen. Hans was also the loving grandfather of Natasha Lorenzen, Christian Laatsch, Heidi Lorenzen (Jon DeVeau), Lauren Laatsch (Jacob Taber) and the late Alexander Lorenzen. Hans was born in Morsum on the island of Sylt, Germany on October 15, 1928. He founded Astro Tool & Die Company in Cudahy, WI in 1965 and led the company until his retirement in 1998, when his son, Elmer, took the helm. Hans enjoyed spending time traveling the world with Irmgard and relished time spent boating and soaking up the sun at their retirement home on Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Hans was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hany G. Mikhaeel, MD of Aurora Health Care and Carol G., BSN, RN of Aurora at Home Hospice for their care and support. By Hans' request, no formal services will be held.
