Dear Grandpa- How do I possibly put into words the impact that you had on my life. From as early as I can remember I looked up to you as my hero. You taught me so much about how to navigate life and you led by example. Your positive energy was contagious and you always made me believe that anything is possible if you put in the work and apply yourself. You truly taught me what it meant to be a good person and what becoming a man was all about. I know I never made it easy for you to stay in my corner, but you always did without fail. I willl always remember all the car rides where you would tell me stories from all of your incredible life experiences, and how I literally thought you were the smartest person on the planet. The way you always made me feel important and how you would be sincerely excited just to see me or talk on the phone as I got older. You were such a devoted husband to our grandmother and how inspiring it was to see someone who exemplified what it meant to be a father, husband, grandfather and eventually great grandfather. The world has lost one amazing man, and I only hope that I can eventually be a fraction of the man you were. I will always remember -our car rides to and from your office growing up- taking for hours about your expierences in small buisness-teaching me how to shave-how you always talked me up to everyone we ever came in contact with. Telling everyone how much of a genius I was. Thanks for that but the truth is you were the genius. -teaching me about our family history all the way back to before electricity. :)-going running with you in the mornings and I could never keep up. You were in your 60's and would run circles around a 12 year old me. In closing, I will miss you so very much. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing grandfather. Until we meet again Sir, R.I.P.
