Curtin, Janice D. Janice Curtin, formerly of the Milwaukee area, lost her battle with cancer and was born to her eternal life on Thursday afternoon, February 13, 2014, at the age of 49. She was surrounded by her family. She was born on July 23, 1964, in Port Washington, daughter of Franklin and Norma (Hennig) Groth. She was a graduate of Grafton High School and M.A.T.C. with an associate degree in Architectural Technology. On May 29, 1987, she married Dennis Curtin in Port Washington. Janice began her career in the architectural field, but was also able to pursue her passion in massage therapy for cancer survivors for a short time. Following her cancer diagnosis, Janice loved being home and caring for her daughter Alex, who meant the world to her.Janice is survived by her husband, Dennis Curtin; her daughter, Alexandria Curtin; her mother, Norma Groth; her sisters and brothers, Julie Groth, Diane Groth, Alan (Ruth) Groth, Annette (Ron) Mason, Jerry (Nancy) Groth, and Chris Groth; her nieces, Jackie and Jamie Groth; and nephews Jeff Mason, Samuel Groth, and Paul Groth. She is further survived by Dennis' family and many friends. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Groth and infant twin sisters, Joyce and Judy. The memorial service for Janice will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Appleton. Visitation at the church Thursday from 12 noon until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation are appreciated.
