Joseph Ipavec Obituary
New Berlin - Found peace Nov. 25, 2019 at age 43. Joe worked for the Elm Grove Police Dept. for the past 19 years, currently serving the department as a Sergeant. He will always be remembered by many loving family members and numerous friends. Loving husband of Tracy (nee Lemmermann) Ipavec, proud father of Lily and Michael, treasured son of John and Patricia Ipavec, cherished brother of John T. (Lora) Ipavec, uncle of Kyle and Rachel Ipavec, son-in-law of Gerald and Roselynne Lemmermann, and brother-in-law of Greg Lemmermann. Further survived by other relatives and friends. A funeral Mass will be held on Sat., Nov. 30th at 2PM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W. National Ave., New Berlin, WI 53151. A celebration of Joe's life will follow the Mass at Dugout 54. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family for his children's education or Copline at Copline.org

My deepest sympathies for the loss of Joe. I was on the Elm Grove Citizens Police Academy 12+ years ago and Joe was one of the good ones. He was always kind to us wide-eyed civilians learning how people like Joe survived.
He was always kind, and a lot of fun. Definitely, one of the best! He will be missed.

My wife, Lori, and I are so very sorry for the loss of Joe. We both work for Elm Grove EMS, and have worked with Joe on EMS calls for the last 6 years, and have always thought highly of him. Please know that we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences for your family. I have known Dad (John) for 57 years. Messmer 62 Alumni Joe Hoeller. I too was a Police for 36 years. To all of Joe's family, I cannot imagine how heartbroken you all are!! I especially think of Tracy, Lily and Michael. They have all been in my thoughts ever since Chief Gage called me with the news of this horrid loss.
I've known Joe since his interview when I was involved in hiring him for the EGPD. I would always look forward to his smiling face when I was at the PD.
Joe touched so many people in Elm Grove, and was an outstanding asset to our department and beyond.
I wish I could be at the service and visitation, but I had travel plans that I tried to change but could not.
My deepest sympathy to all of you that were his family and friends. I am proud to say that I was one of them.
