I was in my early teens when I first met Mrs. Oriz. I remember sitting on the porch with her absorbing the innumerous life lessons she had to share. Her words have helped guide me throughout my life. She was a beautiful, strong, passionate, loving woman with an abundance of unconditional love and support. I thank her and her family for being such a pivital part of my life. I will miss her dearly.

Karen was a very special lady and it was an honor to be able to spend a little time chatting with her when I was delivering the family mail. Her devotion to her family was the quality I mostly will remember during our conversations. I will miss her smiling face and her friendly personality. My deepest sympathy to the family. Sincerely Randy (the mailman)

A huge heart and a smile to match. Always there to help make things better whether it was with a hug or being a straight shooter. She is loved and will be missed.

To the Ortiz family,
I offer my deepest condolences for the loss of Karen. She was a very kind woman. I have many memories seeing her on her walks, and the smile she always had on her face.
