Let me start off by saying my heart goes out to Matts family. I am truly sorry for your loss. I only knew Matt a few years but in that time we became close friends, because that's how Matt was, he was approachable open and honest. Well most of the time honest. Just kidding Matt you know I love ya brother. one thing I can say about Matt I've never seen him mad or upset. there aren't too many people like Matt in this world and now there's one less. I'll miss you Matt. Your brother........ Mike B.

Matt, where did the time go, buddy? Matt and I have been buddies since we began reigning over Milwaukee's East Side, in the crazy days in the late 70's, before we could drive. We rode our bikes, looking at the Plymouth and Dodge muscle cars that UWM students drove to class in those days. Soon after, we were both licenced, and the quiet East Side would never be the same. We were, along with Brad Pelton, Mark Pawlak, Jeff and Brad Astemborski, Matt Dolan, and other pals on the East Side, Mopar Fanatics, and all of our first cars were Roadrunners, Demons, Superbees, whatever was in the Sunday classifieds, our Bible back then... Every weekend was a Chrysler Muscle Car workshop, in someone's parents garage, where carburetors were switched out, headers (wide open, of course) were installed, and clutches checked and adjusted, so we could caravan down to Great Lakes Dragaway, in Union Grove...we were never the fastest, but revving those engines, and sidestepping that clutch when the Christmas tree turned green, put permant smiles on our faces... We were young, we were adequate mechanics, and the races, the friendships, and the Epic parties after, are among the best memories all of us would take with us. We couldn't race forever, and eventually, insurance, gasoline, and the long arm of the law, slowed all of us down. we remain friends though, and that is why I am heartbroken, for all of Us, and for Donna and Marshal. Matt was the friend that you are lucky in your life if you get one or two of. Matt, we enjoyed some of our lives best moments together, and I can hear you now, sidestepping the clutch in a Hemi Dart...every time I hear thunder from now on, it will be Matt, straight piped thru the pearly gates...So long Buddy. You were a great Pal. Big Paul.

I will always think of Matt everyday now just as I always have since I met him in 1978. We shared many life experiences and I always considered him a brother. My sincere condolences to family and friends.
