Sally, Susan, John & Anne, Please accept my condolences. This will be a most difficult time for you. I know that so well. Remember all those crazy, fun times on 40th Street, when we were all so much younger! Take your time to heal now, and then jump back into life. Life is too precious to waste a minute of it.

My deepest sympathies. Dr. Ziegler was an amazing man to work for. I was a TA for him in 1996 and it was the best of times for me. Although I was always in pure math, he showed me how to utilize it to teach those exceptional business students. I still use those formulas and will always, as his legacy.

Amazing to think there are the "right words"; I can't think of any except how sorry we were to get the news about Mike. For these many, many years we have called him "friend" with all sincerity and fondness. It was always a joke between us for me to ask if I could play with his trains. He would look at me as if I had sworn a blue streak and say, "We do not play with the trains; we operate them." And I would say, "but of course we do." I think I have never met such a kind, fun-loving man, so proud of his children and his wife, and so gracious to friends or any guests in his home.
Larry and I extend our deepest sympathies to you, Sally, and the children and grandchildren. I know Larry will miss his old pool partner, even though they haven't played together for years, and I will certainly miss Mike's calm, gentle manner. Know that you are all in our prayers and, if ever you should need anything, just call. Suzi and Larry

Please accept my deepest sympathies. Dr. Ziegler was my calculus professor my first semester at Marquette in 1974. His class was the primary reason I decided to major in mathematics.

Dearest Sally, Susan, John and Ann,
There are no words that will make this loss less than anything it is. Mike was a wonderful man, a great educator, a loving father and always, always, a wonderful friend. We can all cherish his memory by remembering him with fondest and treasuring our favorite memories of how he made our lives richer. We will miss him tremendously.

To Ann,
Your Father was a wonderful Grandfather to Karisa and Madison, and a thoughtful and kind person to our family. We are so sad for your loss, and the girl's loss, and we will always keep his memory in their hearts when we are with them.
To Sally,
We are honored to know Michael, to see his amazing trains and be guests in your home. You have both been so very gracious to our family and that will never be forgotten. May you and your family find peace in knowing he is still with you in the faces of your children and grandchildren.

I'm so sorry for your loss Sally. Thank God for the good memories of you and Mike preparing a Conowingo breakfast years ago and of Mike directing the mass parking exercises in your amazing driveway. I'll also miss my conservative email contact and his raves about Apple computers. Stay strong.
