Ray was my golf partner in the Vickers league 1970-72 or so. He called me "The Kid" back then -- and also called me that the last time I saw him -- at the Fluid Power Conference a few years ago. He was a mediocre golfer but a great human being, smart, insightful. Collette: am sure you remember his "Schlitz" joke but if not, email me ([email protected]) and I'll send (inappropriate for here -- that Ray!). RIP, Ray, and sincere condolences to his loving children.

Ray was my golf partner in the 1970 Vickers golf league (and a couple of years after that). He called me "The Kid" after that -- makes me smile now as, well, I ain't no kid no longer. Am sure Collette & Ray Jr. know his "Schlitz" joke but if not, email me ([email protected]) and I can remind you (not appropriate here -- that Ray!). Saw Ray at Conexpo shows in Vegas in recent years -- he was always good for a warm hello (It's The Kid," he'd say) & a hug. RIP, Raymond -- Doug Drummond

My sincere condolences go out to the entire Warell family. As a member of Ray's Dynex family I owe him gratitude for giving me the opportunity to succeed and provide for my family. My thoughts and prayers go the Warell family during this difficult time.

I was very sad to hear of Ray's passing. I worked for Ray for nearly 25 years in the UK and Ray was a true friend as well as my boss. I often travelled around the UK and Europe with Ray, visiting customers and wherever we went Ray was always very welcome and very popular both by senior management and by workers on the shop floor. Ray had that ability to converse with people from all walks of life. I think that sums him up as best as I remember.
On my visits to the USA , I was made welcome at his house by Ray and Collette who treated me like one of the family and likewise he was always welcome at our house in Blunham where he made himself at home with my family.
I remember the happy times spent with Ray. We had some good fun together. We also had our share of arguements as neither of us would ever admit to being wrong, but these were always forgotten over a drink ( or two ).
Both Sylvia and myself as well as my family will miss Ray, he was a great friend for quite a time, while I was at Dynex.
Our condolencies go to Collette and family.
Sylvia and Geoff Cook.

I was truly saddened to learn of Ray's passing. Ray was a wonderful man and I thoroughly enjoyed working for him as his assistant for my years at Dynex. I think back to all the stories Ray told me and the ones I remember the most (because he told me those most often) were about his family -- especially his grandchildren. He relished telling those stories and these were always told with love. Ray will be truly missed.
My thoughts are prayers are with Ray's family at this difficult time.
