I am so sorry that we lost contact after mom and I moved and Aunt Margaret passed away. You were loved by us all. It saddens me I found out to late to say a proper good bye. I know Aunt Margaret and Gramma were probably waiting for you, shopping bags in hand. 7 years exactly that we said see you later to Aunt Margaret.

Ruth, you added so much character to our neighborhood! And you were part of my inspiration to join the Burns Club and take on the insane task of editing its newsletter for four years. I will miss seeing you at the Scottish events. You were one of a kind, and I mourn your loss -- but I also rejoice at having known you. The world has lost a bit of brightness, but I think I see a new star in the sky.

Love you "Wee Auntie" and will miss your warmth, love, and brassy sense of humour. You made me laugh when growing up and listened to me when I was older and wasn't sure about some things (school, work). May you be reunited with your wonderful husband (Michael Hendley, aka "Uncle Mix") and be doing the Highland Fling to your heart's content!

love, Nathan Hendley

The Burns Banquet will never be the same for me. Since I was a child, I always looked forward to seeing Ruthie at the banquet. I will miss her sassy sense of humor.

Aunty Ruth, we will miss you so much. You have given us so many memories from when we were very young and you would come visit us from "Yankee Land". RIP, now you are back in the arms of your loving husband Uncle Mike. "LOVE YA HONEY" XX
