Dear Schneider family,
Working third shift in a jail can and is alot of times a dreary place that drains your body and soul. I don't think it is a coincidence that as night faded away to rays of sunlight Steve was there with his smile peeking out from underneath that adorable mustache. As I watch that sun rising up over the jail every morning I will always think of him and his smiling face.
There are three of us officers traveling to Ireland in a few weeks. If there is a special place we can light a candle, say a prayer, or anything that would offer your family a tiny bit of comfort we would be honored to. I have enabled my email so you may contact me directly if wish.

Steve the great traveler and friend. When times were bad you were there. When times were good, you were there to listen and shed your vast knowledge. You traveled to many places, you have now reached your final destination you will be missed. Our prayers to your family

Steve approached every day with courage and a zeal for life. He begins his new life celebration, surrounded by beauty and an everlasting joy. Be comforted and remember the twinkle in his eye and the warmth of his heart. Steve was a dedicated man that required no accolades in his work, dependable as the sunrise in the morning and the sunset at the end of the day.
