Wayne Otto Obituary
Wayne was a highly respected leader and mentor in the field of golf course management for over 42 years. He was the first GCSAA-certified golf course superintendent in Wisconsin. A graduate of the Turf Management Program at Penn State, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Wisconsin Golf Course Superintendents Association in 2002. Wayne was a great steward of the Earth and its resources, and was a fully-certified member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, another first for the State of Wisconsin. After 35 dedicated years as superintendent at Ozaukee Country Club, Wayne continued to share his knowledge and expertise, working as a consultant to golf course superintendents throughout the Midwest as President and owner of Turfgrass Support Services. Wayne also co-authored a book with Danny H. Quast, published in 2004, entitled "Golf Course Turf Management - Tools & Techniques" where more than a combined 80 years of their knowledge and experience was put into print to unselfishly share with others in their field.

Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W61 N498 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg WI 53012, on Tuesday, October 26. Visitation at the church 1:00-3:00 PM with service immediately following. Interment Immanuel Cemetery.
Memorials will be accepted, in Wayne's memory, by the Wee One Foundation, P.O. Box 94, Juneau, WI 53039.
