Scott Hetrick Obituary
Scott Allen Hetrick, 70, passed in the early morning of April 14, 2025 at Lakeview nursing home in Smethport. Born Jan. 23, 1955 in Kane, he is the son of the late Ralph "Kick" and Doris "Dode" (Cussins) Hetrick. He married the love of his life, Brenda Norman, who survives, on Oct. 22, 1976.
For three years of high school, during the summers, he worked with the intellectually disabled at Camp Cornplanter. After graduation he worked for 32 years for Stackpole and Energy Conservation Systems. While working full time at Stackpole, he worked part time for seven years for Noross Oil and later for another seven years for Keith Horn forestry as a driver for Eric Horn. He also had worked for Case Knives and then retired from Kane Liquid Fuels.
He loved his girls and was an amazing father and husband. He loved music and the outdoors, where he hunted, ice fished at the dam, did archery, rode his four wheelers and took long rides on his motorcycle. He was a long time Browns and Indians fan. His passion was fishing. He was a member of the Allegheny Bass Masters United until they disbanded. His motto was the Skeeter Boat motto, Eat/Sleep/Fish, and that is what he did.
He will leave a hole in the lives of many. He fought hard for life until the end. Fly high my love, fly high.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Melanie (Eric) Lundeen and Tiffanie (Seth) Luchs, both of Kane; one granddaughter, Erica Lundeen of Kane; a brother Terry (Jane Potter) of Spokane, WA and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Bently Scott Luchs.
The family is very thankful to Dr. Sedov and the team at Warren General Cancer Center and also the staff at Lakeview Nursing Home.
Burial will be private at Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave. Bradford, PA 16701, or a tree could be planted in Scott's memory.
