I see his smiling face always remember that he had a hug for me. I will also hold my funniest memory of Craig jumping over our back yard fence because he shouldn't have been out our house. Dearest Black-Carter Family I was saddened to hear of your loss and the loss of a special friend. So on the day I made the phone call just to check on Craig I knew when the phone picked up I would hear him say (HELLO MAY I HELP YOU)but to my surpise I heard a different voice with the sad news that Craig had passed and the words just left my mouth "NO" and "WHY" but only God knows both of those answers and he also knew that Craig was a very kind hearted and loving person who cared and Loved his family very much.It takes great pride for me to let you know that I am glad to have had "SEABLK" as a special friend he will be greatly missed by all.Miss Shirley May God Bless you and your family.

I First met Craig when i entered high school at Heights, he was one of the unexpectedly nice upperclassmen there..always willing to lend a hand or give direction to an unknown class..i hated his ability to make half court shots in basketball but had great fun playing basketball with him and others..i saw him occasionally in the years after that from time to time but didnt reconnect with him untill 2 years ago at a heights football game..we reflected on how terrible heights was at football compared to today..he will be truely missed. He was a kind and gentle soul, may heaven recieve him with the kindness and love he showed here on earth

Dearest Carter-Black Family,
Words cannot begin to express what I am feeling right now, only being told moments ago about Craig.
Craig was so much more than a friend, we had a bond, and even though we fussed with one another, there was always lots of love between us.
I've been knowing Craig since I was about 13, and his smile back then, and even now could still light a thousand ships.
Even after years had passed, I was able to see him again in 2007.
Please take comfort in knowing that Craig is no longer in pain, and is resting in the Everlasting, and Everloving arms of The Lord.
Craig, you will be so dearly missed in my life, and you will forever be loved in my heart. I'm so happy and blessed to have spoken with you by telephone when we did a couple of weeks ago.
I miss you.

I just want to say that I've known Craig since I was 14 years old...that was almost 30 years ago when I had an innocent high school crush on this young man. He was always a kind, sweet, big hearted guy and I thank God that I got a chance to reconnect with him long distance less than 3 weeks before his passing. We reminisced and laughed and retold stories and I put a smile on his face and heard his story after all of these years. He was so proud of the Black-Carter family and he told me. We got a chance to talk about God, love and so many things...all in three weeks. I thank God I had a chance to thank Craig for being wonderful friend and my prayers go out to the family. May God bless you and keep you in this time of celebration for a wonderful man who is at peace. I am with you all in spirit.

I can't believe that our families are experiencing yet another passing. We were just all at my aunt's Homegoing this past December. This was the last time I saw Craig. He wrapped his arms around me and comforted me until I could get myself together.

Our families have shared so many memories, most of them before I was even born. I will always remember Craig's smile and his wonderful personality. I hope that you know that we're all here for you, just like you were there for us just a few months ago. We are family and we love you all so very much.

I will be praying for you all.

I would like to send my blessings and prayers to your family on your loss of a wonderful son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

I knew Craig when I resided in Wichita Kansas 11 years ago, we were friends for 14 years, while residing in Wichita I lived on Wellesley and his parents live around the corner. Craig offered his handyman services to cut my grass and remove shrub from my front/back yard. I left Ks in 1997 moved to CA., losing contact with him. This must have been God connecting friends back in contact/communication. Approximately 1 week ago on a website I received an email from Craig, he ask me if I remembered who he was (I did, he still looked the same after 11 years) we began chatting again only two times. I sent Craig an email on 4 days ago this Tuesday 3/21, wondering why he hadn't responded to my email.
I received a call just minutes ago from a long time friend who also lived on Wellesley years ago informing me of his passing. .............. I could not believe what I was hearing.
God allowed Craig to come back into my life again for a short time taking him home to glory with him. I've always considered Craig a friend, and he will be missed.

Thank you and God Bless
