Jay Maxwell Obituary
April 19, 1955 - January 28, 2022
Wichita, Kansas - Jay S Maxwell, age 66, of Wichita, passed into Heaven peacefully January 28, 2022 at his home following a sudden illness.
He was born April 19, 1955 in Dayton Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University as he continued to be a lifelong Buckeyes fan. He later received his MBA from Wichita State University.
Jay loved God, family and his country. The 4th of July was one of his favorite holidays and he lived life large and was always an eternal optimist.
He was preceded in death by his best friend and father William Jay Maxwell. Survivors include Penny, his wife of 32 years; sons William, Tyler and Tanner; mother Lorraine; sister Nan Maxwell and husband Ron D'Amico, their daughter Abby and her husband Terrance along with other nieces and nephews and many friends.
A private family memorial service was held on January 31st. Memorials may be given in his name to the American Diabetes Association or Covenant Presbyterian Church.

I lived at 122 N Rainbow Lake Drive . I remember Mr. Maxwell had the best 4th of July parties! He has raised three great kids of whom I played many childhood games with and had year after year of wonderful swimming in the summer. A great and compassionate family. Thank you for having such a great home environment for fun play sessions with Will Tanner and Tyler. I remember he kept an excellent cut lawn neatly weed eated and edged. Rest in peace.
