Johnny Hopkins Obituary
October 23, 1957 - April 4, 2023
Wichita, Kansas - Johnny Dean Hopkins passed away on April 4, 2023, after a prolonged battle with Cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Inola Hopkins and siblings Patricia Hopkins, Twila Hopkins, Jerry Hopkins, and Kenneth Hopkins Jr. He is survived by his girlfriend Mary Wilson of Wichita, and his Daughters; Destiney Landrum (John) of Wichita, Ks, and Sarah Cloud (Michael) of Cabool Mo; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Johnny enjoyed fishing and music. Many great memories include camping, fishing, boating, and Walnut Valley. In lieu of flowers or cards please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

I met John on my first night of hosting Karaoke at Thr Golden Knight. He had a beautiful voice and was wearing a Walnut Valley t-shirt. As I attended every year, we became friends. We even camped together for a couple of years. We lost contact after I moved to Texas. He'll be sorely missed.

I became very good friends with John, we got along great, after a few years I was introduced to My very dear friend, Mary, and we all got along great, it was so much fun visiting them at the Winfield lake, and also Lake Afton it was always a pleasure to visit them when they were at the lake, it was nice to enjoy the times we had, away from the city I loved it, it didn't matter either, rain, snow, sunny days, winter, spring or summer, and fall, we would always visit for hours, BBQ, light a fire, it didn't matter, John will truly be missed, he was one of My best friends, I could always, go where ever they were and rant and rave and they would sit and just listen, well my friend, them pearly gates awaits RIP John love ya always my friend
