To Gary, Linda, Eric, Abbey, Andrew, Emily, & Luke - and your grandchildren (daughter-in-laws, son-in-laws) - Kaylynn, Greg, & Max.
I have returned from the funeral and want to again express my deepest sympathy for each of you. My tears and sadness for the loss of Mark are really for you and the whole family. I know you will miss him, as will I. But our faith will get us through this, each day makes us stronger, and our friendship will always continue until we met again in Heaven.
I am humbled to have shared only a small portion of his great life. Thank you again for always leaving your door open for me and my family. Forever, my door as well as my heart, is open to all of you.

Eric, One of my strongest foundations from my childhood is my "Mark and Eric" times. Jennifer and Julie, and Mark and Eric. You can't think of one without the other. Please know that my thoughts are with you and we will miss Mark so much.
To the Swenson family, you have taught me, and the rest of the world, what it means to be a family. To celebrate life in an unconditional, unwavering way. May your family carry you through this very difficult time. Our love always......

The Dondlinger/Swenson Families-Every once in a while we all need to be reminded about how precious the time is that we are able to spend with the ones we care the most about. Mark's sudden passing should remind us not to wait until tomorrow to tell someone how much they mean to us. May the Lord bless Mark in his new journey and help heal the hurt felt by all who knew him.

Certainly, he's gone to a better place, complete peace, etc.;... still the hearts of the Don & Marilyn Hardesty family (Jeff, Jennifer, Julie, and Liz who grew up with Mark) ache painfully at the loss of one that was so very, very exceptional. Mark was unique; a rare person; a really, really, good person; and someone we all loved and respected so very much. This world has lost one of the most sincere men it has ever been my pleasure to have known. Mark represented to me everything that I feel I should try to be. I, like everyone who knew him, will miss his storytelling, his enthusiastic drive for life and above all else his wonderful laugh.

My thoughts and prayers are with Gary and Linda and all the Swensons and Dondlingers I've had the good fortune to know through the years. I remember when Mark was born, I remember him as a kid and I enjoyed working with him on construction projects. I share this loss but am comforted
in the certainty of Mark's place with God.

Mark had an infectious laugh along with his kindred spirit! I had the fortune of traveling on one excursion to the Buffalo River in Arkansas with the rest of the fun bunch. What a blast!! He'll be greatly missed, but by no means forgotten. He was a great friend!
