Mike, Marialice & Eric,
I'm not sure if you still visit this site but I was very happy to see Brock's guestbook was still open for entries and wanted to leave my condolences. LaVonne contacted by email after signing my brother's guestbook and made me aware of Brock's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. As you come upon his date of passing may you find comfort in re-reading all of the wonderful entries in his guestbook. It sounds like you raised a very kind, loving young man.
God Bless.

Dear Barrett Family,
I just learned of Brock's passing on Saturday 8-4-07 I'm still in shock. I've been trying to get ahold of Brock for the past month and have left messages almost daily on his cell phone. (He did stop by to visit the evening of July 2nd.)
I met Brock when he lived in the house on Sherwood Dr in Roeland Park. We have been very good friends since and I will always treasure the friendship we had. Brock was one of the most caring people I have had the pleasure of spending time with. I will miss him. Eric stop by sometime when your in the area.

Dear Barrett Family:
I was shocked and saddened to hear the terrible news about Brock. Regretfully, I learned the news after Brock's memorial services. We met when we were about 14 and continued to be friends through SMN. There was a group of us who hung out together...Abbey, the Ballards, Jarrett, Josh A. and more. I'll never forget that Brock was always happy...and with that mischievious yet innocent-like smile. I can go on and on with happy, fun stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May you find the strength and peace to endure this terrible tragedy. Brock will TRULY be missed and I am glad to have great memories of him in my life.

We have had the pleasure of knowing Mike for years. He has brought both of his sons with him to work on our homes and while we didn't know Brock well - it was very apparent to us that Brock was a nice young man and we were deeply saddened when we heard about the accident. Mike always had stories about his sons and his frisbee tournaments. We know how proud he was of his boys and our hearts go out to the Barrett Family for your loss.

The Barrett Family,
My deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I met Brock in 7th grade and had classes with him throughout highschool. We sat many a lunch together at Antioch. I saw him at Rosedale only few weeks ago and still he had the same positive attitude towards life. My prayers are with you all at this time of sadness. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Brock from East Antioch all the way through high school at SM North. I remember him as the blond haired boy with the great big smile! He will be missed by all that knew him. I pray that the God of all comfort will wrap His arms around your hearts during this time and bring to you the peace that surpasses all understanding.

I am at a loss for words, i wish i knew where to begin to describe all the ways Brock and His Family have been a blessing on my life and i am sure the lives of others. I remember fondly going to Fools Fest with Brock and his dad (BEAR) , and the first time i spent the night at their house, and me and Brock decided to take apart the TV to "fix" the power cord, or try out a magnet on a Big screen TV, and even after that they invited me back time and again.
My thoughts are with You.
Much Love and Respect Noah Wood

My Lord be with this family. Brock had stopped by our house a few weeks ago and visited. He loved to talk to Mike about cars and just what was going on in the neighborhood where he grew up with my kids during grade school years. We will remember Brock as a very loved person by his parents and had a lot of friends. My son Nick and my daughter Jessica said to me "He had such a good heart". I am thankful we got to see Brock before God called him home. My kids and I are sad we will miss him feeling comfortable enough to stop by anytime to just say Hi. He was so polite. If you want to talk stop by and just say Hi.

My prayers go out to your family during this time. I will always remember growing up with Brock and Eric. We spent countless hours riding bikes and playing various other games until Mike whistled to signal time to come home. I miss seeing the whole family.
