Fountain Hills, Arizona - Charles "Chuck" William Risley Jr., age 79, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 4th, 2025. Chuck was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Born September 4th, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles "Bill" and Eleanor Risley, Chuck graduated from Excelsior Springs High School before pursuing higher education at Missouri Valley College. While in college, he met the love of his life, Dianne Taus Risley. They went on to wed in February 1968 and enjoyed 54 years of loving marriage. Chuck graduated in 1969 with a degree in Economics and started his banking career at Excelsior Trust Company, where he remained through several mergers until his retirement from Bank of America.
Chuck's commitment to service began early in life as an Eagle Scout and Tribe of Mic-O-Say Warrior. Throughout his adult years, he remained deeply engaged in his community, serving as the President of the Excelsior Lions Club and Co-Chair with Dianne of Kansas City's Harvest Ball. He also contributed his expertise to the Clay County Economic Development Commission, Missouri Bankers Association, and Excelsior Springs Hospital Board.
Chuck was a cherished member of his communities, many of which were connected to his lifelong passion for golf. He was a member of the Excelsior Spring Men's Club, Liberty Hills Country Club, The National Golf Club of Kansas City, and FireRock Country Club. He and Dianne enjoyed their retirement years in Kansas City and Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Chuck is predeceased by his wife, Dianne Taus Risley, his parents, Charles "Bill" William Risley and Eleanor Pace Risley, and his brother, David Pace Risley. He is survived by his brother, Richard Risley, his two children, Heather Risley Dial and Charles "Chad" William Risley III, and his three grandchildren, Bennett, Braeden, and Isabella Dial.
Chuck's devoted loyalty, generous heart, and kind smile will be deeply missed by his loved ones. A memorial gathering will be held at The Firerock Country Club at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, his family is asking that donations be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America (https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/).
