Curtis Smith and I arrived at Kansas City Kansas Community College almost 17 years ago. Curtis provided great service to the Campus Childcare Center at our college. He was always positive, kind, and very helpful in any work task assignment. I could always count on him and Eddie to help me at the Campus Childcare Center's social events. The childcare teaching staff, parents and children and I will truly miss our friend and colleague, Mr. Curtis Smith.

Curtis I only knew you for a little over a year, but have memories that will last a life time. One of the most genuine people I ever met. Never a day went by that you failed to ask how I was doing. Im thankful your no longer in pain and can look down on us and possibly give us a look into eternity. Thanks for leaving your footprint on each and every one of us. We all miss you and look forward to seeing you again in heaven.

We'll all remember Curtis for his gentle spirit and kindness towards everyone. I will also remember him for his love for Pepsi and Wendy's. One thing is true, Curtis will no longer have to worry about the pain that was with him because better things are ahead in heaven. May God be with you with his arms wrapped tightly and keeping you safe rejoicing in heaven. May God Bless You, Curtis.

Curtis always carried a big smile, and was very sincere. I had the great pleasure of knowing Curtis most of my life. I can remember as a kid sneaking around going through his tapes, yes this was before cd's. Instead of getting mad, Curtis didn't mind at all, he probably thought to himself, "this kids got good taste in music." I mean it was the Beatles. Rest In Peace Curtis!

Curtis was a gentle, loving, caring man who always saw the good in others. He was always willing to help others, regardless of their need or request. Curtis had a warm, genuine smile and could make everyone laugh with a funny expression or quick-witted comment. He truly loved working at KCKCC and valued the friendship of the college community. He "walked the talk" of being a true friend! Curtis, you will be missed.....rest in peace dear friend.
