DOLORES DEE VAN DORN Dolores J. "Dee" Van Dorn, 85, Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Medicalodge Post Acute Care Center. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to: Wesley United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society. Dolores was born October 23, 1932, in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Edgar and Kathern Mock. She was a 1950 graduate of Wyandotte High School and a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had worked as a Real Estate Agent and in loan processing before retiring. Dolores was a lifetime member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a dedicated wife, loving mother and grandmother. Dolores is survived by her husband of 63 years, Duane G. Van Dorn, daughter, Kimberly Van Dorn-Robinson and husband Jeff, grandson, James Cate, III, sister, Roberta Corbett and brother, Ronald Mock.
