GERALD G. KNOBBE

1938 - 2014

Gerald G. Knobbe, age 76, of Janesville, WI, passed away Wednesday morning, August 27, 2014 at his home. He was born July 10, 1938 in Kansas City, MO, the son of the late Glenn & Lucille (Seidelmann) Knobbe. He was married to the former Agnes "Nancy" Carroll on June 1, 1968, and she preceded him in death on July 7, 2011. He later married Susan J. (Olsen) Hart. Jerry attended schools in Kansas City, and following graduation from high school he attended Missouri State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, and also served in the U.S. Air Force. In his earlier years he was a renowned Fast-Pitch Softball pitcher. He also was an avid bowler and golfer, having rolled 3 perfect "300" games, and having a Hole-in-One to his credit! Jerry was a very kind and helpful person, and was always available to lend a helping hand to family or friends in need! Jerry will be especially missed by his faithful companion and buddy, his dog, Charlie. He is survived by his wife, Susie, his 2 step-children, Alice (Ken) Flippin, and Robert P. Hart, Jr., both of Janesville, his 2 grandchildren, Jacob (Kelly) Flippin and Raquel Flippin, his 2 great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Lilly, another great-grandchild on the way, Rylan Rose, his sister, Sharon Hudson, his brother, Richard Knobbe, his niece, Renee Evans, his nephew, Philip Bonk, and by many friends. Besides his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Knobbe, and 2 nieces, Jamie and April. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014.
