Glen Crain Obituary

Glen E. Crain, 87, North Kansas City, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City, 2205 Iron, North Kansas City. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, Mo. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Rd. Glen was born December 4, 1919 in Appleton City, Mo. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Marine Corps. Glen married Marguerite Littleton, June 19, 1943. Following Glen's return from WWII they opened and operated the "Little Store" in North Kansas City for ten years. He later joined his father and brother selling real estate and insurance. Glen served on the North Kansas City School Board. He was a member of the North Kansas City Kiwanis Club where he had 48 years of perfect attendance. Glen was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City for over 61 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Edna Walker, brothers Ralph Crain and Merle Walker. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marge, of the home, children, Sue (Rick Combellick, Dr. Dwain Crain and Marla (Daniel) Galetti, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
