Bob,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how hard this must have been for you. By chance, I was looking at old photos a few months ago and found photos of you, Jeff and Benjamin when he was a baby taken at the house in southern Leawood.
I know it's been many years, but I still think the world of you. I'm so glad you have someone special to share your grief with.

It is still hard for me to imagine Jeff and Marty as grown men. Somehow they remain children to me. Jeff's passing was inconceivable, but the Lord does things in his own time. I know he is with God and keeping his Grandpa Compton company. My thoughts and prayers for comfort are with all.

We just wanted to let you know Bob and Deb that we love you both very much and at times like these we are reminded of how important having you in our lives is.

Please remember that a souls journey is decided before birth, the lessons needed to be learned are already mapped out.

We are here when you need us.

Diane,
I know your pain, tears, and energy that went into you being there for Jeffrey.

There will come a day
when your tears of sorrow
will softly flow into tears of remembrance...
and your heart will begin to heal itself...
and grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy...
and you will hear the whisper of hope.
There will come a day
when you will welcome the tears of remembrance...
as a sunshower of the soul...
a turning of the tide...
a promise of peace.
There will come a day when you will...
risk loving...
go on believing...
and treasure the tears of remembering.

Condolences to you and Jeffrey’s' family.

We lost touch years ago but used to live in the duplex off N. Oak in KC when Jeff was just a small boy, same age as our Jeff. We've thought about you over the years & was very sorry to read of his passing. God Bless all of you. Look to Him for comfort.

Jeff and I went to high school together and I got to know him through my sister, Dianna. Even though I've only seen Jeff intermittently during the past several years, I have fond memories of past family holiday gatherings.

Each time I see his sons, Ben & Nathan, I see Jeff as he was in high school, full of life and laughter. May you gather comfort in how many lives Jeff touched over the years and his spirit that lives within his sons.

Marty, you probably don't remember me, but I went to high school with you. My aunt, Susan Dorman, told me of Jeff's passing. I would like to extend my sympathy to you and your family. ~May Jeff ride on the wings of angels forever and a day~

Jeff and I go back to elementary school, Meadowbrook, and cub scouts at Fairview Christian Church, Pack 316. He was a very good friend to me. Jeff's amazing sense of humor and ability to roll with the punches made the Wonder Years a lot more wonderful and a little less daunting. My condolences to his wife and sons, and to Marty and his parents.

We remember Jeff and his brother Marty with great fondness -- young kids full of mischief and always noisy and rambunctious as young kids should be..when we hung out with Bob and Norine in their apartment north of the river in KC. Happy student days--none better! Pat and Mike.
