So sorry for your loss. Kevin was a unique and wonderful individual who helped me and Mike Broderdorf through residency always with a smile and story to tell. Jeanne and I always looked forward to your yearly updates at Christmas time. Kevin and I often discussed Corvairs since it was my first car and so I will be donating to the preservation fund in his name.I must say I have never talked to someone so ready for his next journey and he has inspired me in my walk through this life and the one to come! In our thoughts and prayers Al and Jeanne Emilian

I was saddened to learn Kevin has passed. I thought the world of Dr. Koch. He ran the ER at SMMC impeccably-a kind, gracious, and gentle physician. Always so courteous when calling in the middle of the night asking me to come to the ER for a case-- so genuinely pleasant and well-mannered. I was pleased to run into him in 2015 at the airport there in KC-- we sat and had a nice long chat. Kevin was a unique and rare breed-a gentleman of tremendous character. I am certain he'll be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Reta and I wish his family peace and much love at this difficult time.

Kevin was one of the gentlest and kindest people I've ever met. He was always up for an adventure and truly lived life to the fullest. My heart is with his entire beautiful family during this time of great loss. Hopefully they will find some comfort in the love surrounding them.

There are really not enough words to describe what an amazing person, husband, father and friend Kevin was. One of the most intellectually curious people we knew, Kevin was knowledgable about so many things, especially vintage cars! Spending time with him and Ada at Pebble Beach was made extra special with Kevin giving us the "inside scoop" and history of all the cars. Sharing his passion with us. We will always treasure this memory and so many others. Caring, generous, supportive-he will be greatly missed. Sending love and strength, to Ada, Gwen, Megan, RJ and the whole Koch family.

Kevin lived his life with purpose, faith, love, humor, and adventure. It's hard to lose someone as special as Kevin, and my heart breaks for Ada, Gwen, Megan, and RJ, not to mention his larger family and dear friends. I hope the warmth of his memory will be ever-present for everyone who loved him.

It was always a good ride and a great conversation after while eating tacos when Kevin was there. It is an understatement to say the ride won´t nearly be the same. Ada and family you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are praying for Ada, Megan, Gwen and the entire family who so dearly loved Kevin. He was the kindest caring husband father and friend . His many many talents extended well past saving lives in the ER and yet he was an always humble man - with an unsatiable zest for life ! I cannot express how much he will be missed by everyone his life touched . Praying for you all ! Love Diane and David Zimmer

Kevin was a masterful story teller (a trait he also passed down to his son). Whenever he had a tale to share at our Corvair club meetings, rest assured it would be a good one, especially his adventures from the ER! It was also very clear that he had a deep love, respect, and adoration for Ada and his family, as he would always light up even more when speaking about them. Kevin was absolutely one of a kind!
