Hello Marvin, I would like to thank you for everything you have done in my life; I was a young man who was lost when I was in high school, but because of you, I was able to get done with and go off to college.

Marvin, Erma and I all attended Sumner Academy together is KCKS. He was an outstanding student in high school as well as a great football player and friend. Marvin recruited me to Minneapolis in 1991 to work for the Minneapolis school district. He will be missed. Much love and support to Erma and all the family. Dr. Wallace J. Franklin.

Marvin was my dear friend, mentor, and schoolmate and extended family. After conversations with my husband ,Dr Reginald Buckner decided to attend the University of Minnesota to persue his Phd in Music. We lived in Marvin and Erna´s house while he attended Harvard. He assisted while I applied to teach in Minneapolis Public Schools. I knew Marvin from KCK our home town Sumner High School University of Kansas. We are fraternity and sorority brother and sisters. Our children were raised together. H Marvin and Erma escorted my family by car to Kansas to bury Dr Buckner at a cemetery where our family is buried.I will miss our conversations and our friendship. May God continue to bless his family.

Marvin and George Logan loved each other like brothers in life. They made a habit of going to the Original Pancake House in Wyzata early on a Saturday morning. Each had a challenging health journey in the last few years of their lives and now they are together for eternity.
