Bonnie,
I hope you received my recent letter update and photo. I would like to share with everyone that after the accident my husband and I went out to the accident sight. I noticed precisely to the right of Mike was a cornfield and an old cobble stone church with a steeple. I found comfort in that. As I mentioned in my letter to you it will be while before I can return the site, but when I do Mike is marked by that cobblestone church with the steeple out in the cornfield. It took me a while to frame Mikes photo and place it on my table at home because I have been so sad, but it seems since I have done that I have felt the comfort of his spirit.
I will pray for your comfort Bonnie and you will be in my continual prayers and thoughts. Mike was such a dear friend, one that no one will ever be able to replace in my heart.

Aunt Bonnie, Grandma, and family: I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I have fond memories of him from my childhood. I remember how much he loved '80s hair bands and I remember going to the state fair and him making fun of me for liking the New Kids on the Block. (I don't blame him). I hope you find comfort in knowing that he was so loved.

Mike was a great guy. He was one of the first people I ever met when I took up cycling. Always had a compliment and was intersted in my new gear, etc. I had the priviledge to ride with Mike many times over the years and he always made it fun for me. You'll be missed buddy!

Bonnie ~ I read with dismay about the tragic accident that took the life of your son, Michael. While I did not know him beyond his toddler years (nor have I seen you since then), I remember the love and devotion you showered him. I know that there must be a deep hole in your heart due to his absence. I will keep Michael, his family, and you in my prayers as you grieve his untimely death. From the comments I have read in the Guest Book, he loved well and was well loved. May God bless you and his family and continue to make you a blessing to others.

Mike was a good friend, guide, and companion for me, when I was with my dear friends in KC Yoly and Dean 20 years ago. I Still have a picture with him, helping me out of the car when I was pregnant and could barely move; he was kind and gentle. Mike, I will always remember you as the friendly and smiling person you were.

Mike was so happy when telling us about his bicycling, the rides for charity, and his cycling friends. He was very concerned about Kathy's welfare after her bicycle accident and concerned about bicycling safety for all.
We are Jim and Jeannie's neighbors. Jim told us his nephew Mike could fix anything. We became very fond of Mike and are appreciative of his willingness to help us and of all his good work.

I met him with his dog Sambo. Mike loved dogs and he was good with them; dogs loved him. In fact the last time I talk with him, he had a Doberman and we talked about the days at the farm when he used to take care of my dogs. Mike will be missed.

I only met you once when you came to see my boyfriend, and your life long friend, David (Myers) but you really made an impression. Loved that you gave him grief about having a girlfriend... so personable. God has 1 more giant personality with Him now. God bless you and your loved ones!

I am so heart broken.... I have known Mike for most of his and my life. My family and I have so many wonderful and funny memories of him, it is hard to describe the loss we feel. It is hard to believe I will not hear his laugh, hear his jokes. and see him riding up on his bike. Mike was always so kind and giving and always eager to help anyone with anything at anytime. There was nothing he wasn't good at doing. He did so much for me and my family in his life. He got me into bike riding years ago, he taught me endurance. He helped me find my first mountain bike and according to him it had to be just right, that was 18 years ago and I still have that bike.
There is not room enough on this page to tell of all the great things about Mike, I hope while he was living I told him enough times how wonderful he was and how grateful I was to have him as a friend.
God Bless his family and all who loved him.
Thoughts and Prayers to All,
Donna Sellers

Mike, thanks for always being there man. It just won't be the same without you. Ill never be able to look at a bike without thinking of you. Ill never be able to look at another bike trail without you there. Or when I paint something or fix something. I am planning on getting into HVAC possibly. If I do, a huge amount of credit goes to you. Most of all...you were as good a friend as it gets. I will truly truly miss you man.-Dave

I was both shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's death. I know my words can give little comfort right now, but know that my deepest feelings of sympathy are with all of you. My mother asked me to also include her condolences.
I have lost touch with most of you as we grew older, but I have often thought of each of you through the years. Those days in the old neighbourhood are full of GREAT memories, and Mike was a part of many of those. He was always such a sweet, kind, happy child. A bit playful and ornery at times, but it was always with a fun and loving heart, a big grin on his face, and a twinkle in his eyes. I feel priveledged to have known him.
I hope that the outpouring of love and sympathy you are receiving right now from the many people who's lives were touched by Mike can provide some comfort during this very sad time. Each of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Theresa (Hieronymus) Bebout
