Kansas City, Missouri - Nancy Jane Brown McKee passed away April 17, 2020 at home.
Nancy was born January 4, 1936 to Harold and Pauline (Blakenship) Brown in Pattonsburg, Missouri. She graduated from Lathrop High School in 1954. After high school Nancy began at National Belles Hess Mail-order Catalog Company. She next worked at National Fidelity Insurance Company. It was while working National Belles Hess that she met the love of her life. Roy McKee, a native of Lathrop.
Nancy and Roy were married in Liberty, Missouri in 1957. They lived on a farm in Lathrop. Next was a move to Kansas City, Missouri where Roy started to work for the Government, and they lived in Kansas City for 50+ years. During these years they enjoyed traveling including California, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and many trips to Hawaii, their favorite. Nancy also enjoyed nature, genealogy, cooking, and owning her own catering business.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Pauline Brown; her husband Roy McKee; her sister-in-Law Kay Brown and her son-in-law Al Sauer.
She is survived by her daughter Heather Sauer; brother Steve Brown; grandchildren Eric (Henrietta) Sauer, Diana Sauer, Teresa (Chris) Fox, Shelia (Adrien) Catania; 11 great grandchildren, and her cats Smokey, Harley, Torti, Baby Kitty and Ginger.
