Nicole Hirschman Obituary

HIRSCHMAN On October 2, 2015, after finding happiness, Nicole passed away peacefully in her sleep, reuniting with her beloved father, grandfather, and grandmother at the young age of 42. Nicole Suzanne Hirschman was born on April 7, 1973 in St. Joseph, MO to Richard L. Hirschman and Edna Suzanne Hirschman. She was the first born child. As a child, Nicole enjoyed spending time with her family while boating, fishing, four wheeling, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Nicole was always bubbly and full of life. She was happy spending time outdoors and surrounded by family. Throughout the families many travels, she would spend many hours, weeks, and summers at her grandparents in Bethany, MO while her parents were away trucking. Nicole graduated from Garden City High School in 1991 and shortly after moved with her family to Cherokee, IA. In 1992, while working at K-Products in Marcus, IA, Nicole moved back home to support her family when her father had become unable to work for a short time due to a heart attack. Without question she worked very hard to make sure her mother, brother, and sister were able to keep a roof over their heads and food on their table. Later in life, Nicole had made the decision to further her education by attending Colorado Technical University so that she could work as a surgical scrub tech. Nicole truly had the passion to care for the needs of others. Nicole brought one very special tradition to our family. We would make homemade cinnamon rolls when the family is together. She would always invite her nieces to help her. This taught them the joy in life didn't always have to come with a reward; it came with happiness and love. This was a bonding time for Nicole and her nieces. They would spend time in the kitchen, laughing for hours. This tradition will continue as a reminder that Nicole is always going to be with us. While reflecting on Nicole's short life our hearts are overjoyed with comfort and sorrow. She had such a kind heart and loved her family and friends with every inch of her soul. Nicole thought the world of her nieces and nephew. Even though the miles separated her from the family, she watched them grow through social networks. Even though Nicole died young, she finally found happiness in life after meeting her soul mate Amy Frost. Nicole had many struggles throughout her life. Even in her darkest moments Nicole would carry a smile proudly. However in those times she would find comfort within her family. She was always such a joy to have around for she would make everyone laugh and forget the rough times. Nicole is survived by her fiance Amy Frost of Lee Summit; mother: Suzy Hirschman of Overland Park, KS; sister: Dr. Mickelle Hirschman D.O. (Mike Dickey) of Overland Park, KS; brother: Richard Hirschman Jr.(Catherine) of Cherokee, IA; four nieces Samantha, Taylor, Abigail, Mackenzie, and one nephew John, and many lifelong friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to ReDiscover for all the support and help with Nicole these past few years and request in lieu of flowers, a donation to this organization be made to: ReDiscover Attn: Development Dept 901 NE Independence Ave. Lee's Summit, MO 64086. Our beloved Partner, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend will forever remain in our heart.
