I am so sorry for your loss, Nancy, Mark, Kimla, David and Family. I just found out about Perry. I have so many fond memories as a child on 86th Terr. Perry always treated me like I was one of the family. My first thought was the old blue truck that we all climbed all over, and would go home with blue paint on me from head to toe. He will be missed by all. God bless, my thoughts are with you all at this time.

I'm writing here because I'm hopeful all of you, Nancy, Mark, Kimla, David, Russ and Roberta will see this. Buster was my first real friend, meeting when we were probably 7 or 8 years old and continuing that close friendship thru high school. We played everything together, cowboys & Indians, Superman, army, doctors, softball, touch football and later real games like baseball, basketball and football in high school. We even puffed our first cigarettes together, not a good thing but we all thought we had to do it. I don't remember any dispute or fight between us. Fern was so good to all of us during those times, being patient and understanding of the things we 'thought we had to do' as boys. When my mother had a fire and my ACHS Senior year Yearbook burned Fern found her copy and gave it to me. Of course, I still have it. I have nothing but fond memories of your family and am so saddened by Perry's passing, something I learned of only last week. May all of you take comfort in knowing that anyone who really knew Buster thought he was a really great guy.

So many family gathering memories...such special people. My thoughts and prayers are with you Nancy, Mark, Kimla, David and families. Such a wonderful man to have met and known. We should all be so fortunate to have such a quality filled life!
Our parents leave a void in our lives that no one else can fill. But faith helps us continue as our parents would have envisioned. And, his wonderful spirit continues in the lives of his children, grandchildren and generations to come, as well all who he touched.
Holding you close in my heart,
Marilyn Randall

There were many great memories of your family when we were young! Your parents and mine getting together to drink and party! They were a hoot! Perry was a great guy! He will be missed. Your family is in our prayers.

When he heard someone address him as Buster, he knew they were from Appleton City. Coordinating the ACHS Alumni reunion, for the class of 1953, he continued to take on his responsibilities as the Senior Class President, locating and contacting his classmates from back then. I'll remember him for doing that, as well as being the son of my typing teacher, and the man who weighted the grain trucks during wheat harvest at our elevator, who bought down his children and maybe grandchildren to the AC Baby Show so grandmother could see them. My Dad was tall and one time on the way to a Royals game, standing in line at Arthur Byrant's he was kind enough to recognize and speak to my him, and for bringing his younger brother back to the reunion with him. We in AC will miss him, also.

Recalling days of "yesteryear" when Buster worked at theater. He and John could entertain all of us.
My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your loved one. Joyce
